As a nominee for a Corporate Events Guide People's Choice Award, the onus is heavily on you to ensure that your valued customers are aware of your nomination. We recommend that you follow the steps below in order to maximize your involvement in the awards process:
Step 1:
- Simply ask your webmaster to place your 'Vote For Us' link, supplied by the Corporate Events Guide, prominently on your website. This will link through to your own specific voting page which has been created for you.
Step 2:
- You can place your unique voting link on to your email signature, this way every email you send is working for you by highlighting the fact that your company has been nominated for a nationwide award.
Step 3:
- Why not position the prestigious certificate we have mailed to you in a prominent area at your office(s) to draw more awareness to your nomination?
Step 4:
- How about promoting your nomination in a press release? Press releases are a fantastic (and free) method of encouraging other marketing mediums to promote your company for you.

- How Are Companies Originally Nominated?

January & February:
Companies are nominated by a team of researchers at the Corporate Events Guide's head office in Auckland, New Zealand during a 6 week period in January and February of each year. Their focus is to source New Zealand's leading operators in the corporate event planning industry who must be shown to be performing an active and positive role within the corporate event planning industry at that time.
- How Are Finalists & Winners Chosen?

Finalists Announced
1st October - 8th October:
General voting closes on the 1st October but all finalists are given a one week voting extension in the awards. Five finalists are to be announced within each of the allotted categories on 1st October, Finalists are determined by the quantity and quality of the votes received in comparison to their fellow nominees i.e.:-
1 Point per Vote = @hotmail.com, @yahoo.com, @gmail.com etc..
2 Points per Vote = @samplecompany.com, @governmentcompany.com, eventscompany.com etc..
All voting will close on the 8th October.
Winners Announced
End of October:
Winners will be announced at the annual Corporate Events Guide's People's Choice Awards Gala Dinner held at the end of October of each year (Date & Venue TBC each year).

This year's nominations are broken down into 37 individual categories ranging from Best Nationwide Convention Centre to Best Nationwide Corporate Gifts. The number of nominees can vary per category.

- How Do We Ensure That The Voting Is Fair?

The clever clogs I.T Department here at the Corporate Events Guide has built a very sophisticated automated voting system that is focused not only on fair play, but it also allows companies to view all of the wonderful votes that they are receiving throughout the year.
The automated voting system will not register any votes that fall outside the following guidelines:
Voting Validity:
- Individuals can only vote for a company once, this is determined by your unique email address. The system will reject and report any counts of multiple vote attempts from the same email account.
- After placing a vote, a verification email will be sent to the voters supplied email address requesting verification. Only when the email is verified will a vote be recorded.
- When voting, the supporting statement must be a minimum of 30 characters long. The system will reject statements under 30 characters and request that you extend your statement.
- The supporting statements may only be used by the company being voted for; these statements will be recorded in their client admin area.
